Phi Delta Chi
Beta Gamma Chapter
Phi Delta Chi is a national, professional pharmacy fraternity built on the strength and unity of brotherhood. The Fraternitywas originally founded as the Phi Chi Society by 11 men at the College of Pharmacy at Michigan University on November 2nd, 1883.
Here at Duquesne University, our chapter, Beta Gamma, was founded on January 11th in 1960. Since then, we have inducted over 500 brothers into the Grand Fraternity. In its nearly 50 years, Beta Gamma has greatly contributed to the growth of our fraternity, our school, and most importantly, our great profession.
Today, we strive to carry on the traditions of service and professionalism that has earned our chapter a record 13 Thurston Cups. We are involved in a variety of professional and community service projects both on and off campus. Although we hold Phi Delta Chi closest to our hearts, the brothers of Beta Gamma are active members in many other organizations within the School of Pharmacy such as: Phi Lambda Sigma, Rho Chi, APhA-ASP, Student Advisory Committee, and H.E.A.R.T.
